Super kool non!!! ?

Great to meet you the other day. We were worried we were in trouble at first when we saw the radio on your belt! We get stopped by the police everywhere so we're kind of used to it now...
We're currently in Zagreb, Croatia getting some work done on the cab. We have a few problems - some 'judder' coming from the clutch, the battery compartment rusting really badly and now the fuel tank has started leaking along the seam
If you guys have any advice on this problems we'd be really grateful to hear it.
Thanks,
Johno, Paul and Leigh,

Version anglaise

Uh hello and Bravo
- the clutch would wear mechanism (or bleed to do ...)
- the battery compartment is rotten because of a leak acid there 6 months
- the tank there must be another way to adapt if it is rotten

Dear Johno,
I am not a mechanic, but I would like to help. I do not know what the judder is. Sorry.
The rust around the battery could be due to a leak from the battery, so pour lots of water all around the battery, to get rid of the acid. Check the acid levels in the battery.
The fuel tank maybe has rusted due to the salt on the roads in northern Europe. In London, a garage would just change the fuel tank, but I know that when a new fuel tank is not available, such as on vintage cars, the solution is to coat the inside of the fuel tank, with a coating of resin. Obviously, the inside of the fuel tank would have to be scrupulously clean, and that would take a long time.
Good luck with your travels.
Byeeeeee,
Ron

The battery rust is just due to all the salt on the roads in N. Europe as Taxi said (and also we didn't rust treat it properly before we left). Now we have pop-riveted a new plate so should be okay.
We've managed to get the fuel tank re-welded so hopefully that is now okay too.
The clutch - basically we get a lot of 'shake' when moving away or changing gear at low speeds. We thought it might be related to the gearbox or clutch but aren't really sure. We *think* it might be some kind of contamination in the gearbox or clutch if it wasn't sealed properly...

Redear Johno,
Could the judder not be from a loose prop shaft, or drive shaft.?

Ron
